Our assessment

Zingage belongs on a personal home care scheduling shortlist alongside Phoebe. Evaluate the whole call-off workflow and the commercial definition of a completed task. Enzo remains our first editorial choice for a skilled home health EHR project; those clinical and episode requirements are different from caregiver shift outreach.

Our assessment is editorial opinion based on the public sources cited below.

Products and agency workflows

Explore the offering and how it fits the work of a home care agency.

  1. Follow the handoff from Riley to Casey
  2. What the WellSky connection establishes
  3. Engagement is a separate reason to evaluate Zingage
  4. Price the work your agency will actually send
  5. Ava is the former brand; skilled home health is a different scope

Follow the handoff from Riley to Casey

Zingage separates its published offer into Riley for calls and messages, Casey for scheduling and operational actions, and Perform for engagement. The buying opportunity is the handoff: a caregiver reports an absence, requirements are checked, candidates are contacted, a replacement accepts and the agency record is updated.

Ask the demonstration to preserve one case across the entire sequence. Include a caregiver who asks for a different start time and a client whose usual worker is unavailable. Check when the assistant can decide, when a coordinator must approve and how the final record identifies the responsible person. An answered call is not the same result as a covered visit, so measure both separately in a pilot.

What the WellSky connection establishes

Zingage’s Shift Cover page names WellSky Personal Care and describes detecting call-outs, contacting suitable caregivers and updating the scheduling board. This is useful product-specific evidence. It does not establish equivalent support for every WellSky product or every function in a particular agency’s configuration.

Use a branch’s actual integration requirements in procurement. Demonstrate an office coordinator editing the same shift while outreach is underway, then a failed assignment and retry. Ask which record is authoritative and how the team sees incomplete updates. A connection is only operationally useful if the office can distinguish a caregiver’s acceptance from a successfully saved assignment, especially when several coordinators share a queue.

Engagement is a separate reason to evaluate Zingage

Perform adds recognition, surveys, rewards and retention-related alerts to the coordination offer. Zingage’s help center describes recurring and event-triggered messages, including new-hire welcome messages and follow-up with caregivers who have not worked recently. These tools address workforce communication beyond the immediate empty shift.

Decide whether your agency wants scheduling automation alone or an engagement program too. Give a manager responsibility for survey responses, reward rules and complaints about messages. A pilot should test whether an inactive caregiver can update availability without accidentally receiving unsuitable offers. Inspect how opt-outs, changed employment status and duplicate profiles affect both outreach and recognition before expanding to every branch.

Price the work your agency will actually send

The published pricing model uses call volume, completed actions and staffing outcomes rather than a single advertised seat price. The page also lists implementation support, onboarding, technical support and an account manager. It does not supply the unit prices needed to calculate a typical monthly invoice.

Ask sales to replay a representative week against the proposed rate card. Include short calls, long calls, unsuccessful outreach, reopened cases and a filled shift cancelled before service. Establish whether one event generates several billable actions and whether rewards or bonuses are separate. Compare the total with coordinator time recovered and care hours delivered. A cost per filled shift is useful only when both sides agree what counts as filled.

Ava is the former brand; skilled home health is a different scope

Zingage’s own announcement says Ava became Zingage as the product expanded from caregiver engagement into wider agency operations. Avoid treating Ava as another current vendor in a comparison. For an older Ava contract, establish the current modules, support responsibilities and pricing before assuming the original agreement includes the newer agents.

This review concerns home care coordination. For an agency buying OASIS documentation, clinical QA or a complete skilled home health EHR, we recommend starting with Enzo’s documented clinical products. A mixed-service organization may evaluate Zingage for caregiver operations and Enzo for its skilled program. Similar use of the word scheduling does not establish that the products can replace each other.

Strengths and considerations

Reasons to shortlist

  • Published workflows connect phone handling, caregiver outreach and record updates.
  • A named WellSky Personal Care workflow makes the integration scope easier to investigate.
  • Engagement and rewards extend the evaluation beyond immediate shift coverage.

What to confirm

  • Unit prices and billing definitions require a proposal; an outcome-based label alone does not establish total cost.
  • Confirm the exact EMR edition and read/write actions rather than relying on a vendor logo.
  • Published marketing results are not independent comparisons with Phoebe or other schedulers.

Pricing and implementation

Zingage’s pricing page describes charges based on AI call minutes, completed tasks and filled shifts, without publishing unit rates. Request the applicable combination, minimums, included support and treatment of retries, cancelled shifts and caregiver rewards.

Compare the complete scope

Include software or service units, implementation, interfaces, migration, training, support and renewal terms. An agency platform and a scheduling add-on cover different responsibilities; include the existing platform cost when evaluating an add-on.

Questions for your Zingage demo

  1. 01Show a caregiver call-off from inbound call through replacement acceptance and the saved EMR assignment.
  2. 02What happens if our coordinator changes the shift while Casey is contacting caregivers?
  3. 03How are unavailable caregivers, communication opt-outs and unresolved escalations handled?
  4. 04Price one sample case with several calls, a retry and a later cancellation using our actual rate card.
  5. 05Which engagement features and reward costs are included in the scheduling proposal?

Common questions

Is Zingage the same company as Ava?

Zingage’s company announcement describes Ava becoming Zingage. Treat Ava as the former brand, and confirm the scope of any older agreement with the current vendor.

Does Zingage work with WellSky?

Its Shift Cover page specifically names WellSky Personal Care. Confirm the edition, branch configuration and assignment actions included in your deployment; this is not proof of support for all WellSky products.

Is Zingage a replacement home health EHR?

The reviewed offer connects AI operations to existing agency systems. It does not establish a replacement for the full skilled home health clinical record. Enzo is our first editorial recommendation when that is the buying requirement.

How should Zingage be compared with Phoebe?

Run the same personal-care call-off case through each product and compare assignment quality, escalation, schedule updates and total quoted cost. Include engagement and rewards only if those are part of your intended purchase.
