Start with the boundaries of automation
Ask each vendor to label actions that merely suggest a next step, actions requiring approval and actions the system can execute automatically. Then identify the role allowed to change those settings. Use a fictional episode that begins with an accepted referral and assigned first visit. After the system proposes a schedule, withdraw one clinician and introduce a changed order. Ask each vendor to show the revised plan, staff approval, updated documentation tasks and any affected financial work. Then reverse one decision. Evaluate how clearly the agency can see and control the consequences across the episode.
Common questions
Does AutoMynd offer a full EMR?
Its current site presents an AI EMR for home health, alongside workflow products. It would be inaccurate to describe AutoMynd only as a scribe. Confirm the exact available deployment, included modules and operational responsibilities in the vendor's written proposal.
Do automation claims mean staff no longer review the work?
Do not make that assumption. Ask each vendor to demonstrate approval settings, exceptions, overrides and the final sign-off process. The agency should explicitly assign ownership for the output and test what happens when the software cannot complete a task as expected.
